Bishop Clifton Jones

Bishop Clifton Jones was pastor of the Jerusalem Temple Church in Philadelphia, MS for over 40 years (June 1966 - June 2006) as well as the Diocesan Bishop of the 10th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.

This highly sought after anointed preacher, inspired teacher, and prolific writer has carried the Word of God throughout the United States and into numerous foreign countries; and yet, the voice of Bishop Clifton Jones continues to cry out in this end-time generation.

Studious and always a purveyor of holiness, ministerial excellence and Christian education, Bishop Jones earned his Bachelor of Theology from Aenon Bible College of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. in 1966. He continued to demonstrate his interest in learning with the following additional degrees: a Master of Ministry from the Bethany Theological Seminary, a Doctor of Theology degree from the Baptist Christian University and an esteemed Doctorate honoris causia from his beloved alma mater, Aenon. It is notable that he was the longest-serving member of the Aenon board of directors.

Much of Bishop Jones' success and happiness can be attributed to his 56-year marriage to the meek and personable First Lady Mary Francis Jones.

He has authored more than 40 books that continue to encourage, edify, enlighten, and educate the masses under one unequivocal commission.

"Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;"

•Joel 2:1

The works of Bishop Clifton Jones were added to the Apostolic Legends Library on July 1, 2023, with the publication of his miscellany, A Voice Crying in the Wilderness.
